And the best is that you don’t have to call this school your alma mater to share in this. Take for example Helene van Wyk, who joined the ranks of the school as the girlfriend of a substitute teacher and who after many years of dedicated service in various roles was honoured by the Old Boys Union by naming our new benevolent fund after her.

It gives one great pleasure to note how skillful some of our Old Boys are behind their laptops and what valuable contributions they have made recently to scientific and other areas of knowledge with their writings. Also notable is that many of them excelled in the academia, of which the high percentage recipients of the Chancellor’s Award at the University of Stellenbosch from our school is proof.

After the recent shock victory by the Springboks in New Zealand, in which old boys also played their part, we are also proud to report that the Old Boys Union is achieving its goal to keep PRG’s rugby tradition alive and well … even if it is with a little bit of help from our golfers. But that is all part of the fun and games.
