Andries Calitz (hooffoto) shows us that no task is too daunting if you can bring your big dreams to reality with knowledge, experience and relationship-building.  Another pointer from this story is that the world is now our play field. Andries played a key role in the final investment decision of $30 bn (R440 billion) to create the necessary infrastructure for exporting Canada’s liquefied gas resources to markets in Asia. On the photo he appears with a grateful Prime Minister of Canada, Mr Justin Trudeau.

Where there is a will, there is a way! The school needs money to complete the renovation of its hostels, a worthwhile project as can be seen from the progress report that appears in this newsletter. Old Boys, past parents and current parents can now contribute and get recognition in an innovative way.

A photographic record of the plaque that disappeared from the first Gymnasium building in 2010 was donated to our archive. We thought the words were lost forever, but now we have it again and can we think of replacing this important memorial artefact with something of less desirable value.

In closing, we would like to share a blessing of St Francis: May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world, so that you can do what others claim cannot be done!
