The imprint of a dad will forever remain on his son

Old Boys looking for the ideal Father’s Day gift, should set off to Paul Roos Spar this month where they have limited special wines, all made by several Old Boy winemakers and their sons, now also involved and continuing the family winemaking tradition.

Natuurlik almal Old Boys.

Stellenbosch Family Wines is owned by three families of which the De Vries family has a wine heritage of more than 80 years. The wines are made by the De Vries father and son team, Andrew and Carlo de Vries. Carlo is a grade 11 learner in Paul Roos – both a 4th generation Paul Rooser and 4th generation winemaker.

The Steytler family has farmed at Kaapzicht since 1946 and Danie senior and his younger brother George are the 3rd generation owners of the estate. Danie’s son, like his dad Danie (also an Old Boy) is now the winemaker, while his dad overseas the finances and helps with marketing and distribution.
