An opportunity to contribute to making central air-conditioning systems a reality

The Paul Roos 150 Trust Fund agreed to provide financial support for the installation of central air conditioning systems that will serve all classrooms, administrative offices, as well as the Japie Krige hall and PRG Centrum.

Stellenbosch experiences extremely high summer temperatures and humidity, which may affect our learners’ ability to concentrate. After careful consideration of the merits of a proposal received from the school, the Trust decided to support the installation of central air conditioning systems as it will help to create  a conducive learning environment.

The Trust Fund was established in 2014 to provide financial support to PRG for capital-intensive projects. The Trust is committed to helping maintain and uphold the school’s academic excellence to secure the school for future generations.

Through donations and fundraising projects, the Trust assisted the school with various projects, the most recent of which was the upgrading of the Science Laboratories and installation of an additional backup power supply.

This project will entail a significant capital outlay and the Trustees are hoping that Old Boys, parents and other donors would be willing to co-contribute to this initiative. The Paul Roos 150 Trust Fund is managed by a Board of Trustees, according to sound principles and policies, including an annual audit.
